Sustainability as a Corporate Culture

Nearly 40 years of our working life, respect for the environment and people has been one of our main principles together with our honest and gentlemanly trade understanding, has been one of our main principles. We belive as Ferco, our steps will determine our future place towards our ecological and social awareness and our responsibility for our society and our planet.

Education for sustainability

We wanted to contribute to this matter with our belief that a modern life that respects nature and people can be developed through education. We also provide on-line trainings to our employees, which they can evaluate in their spare time and increase our total quality of life. This educational and entertaining method, that can be benefitted from personal smart phones, involve a wide range of topics ranging from personal development to finance, from environment to health, from communication and law to hobby, is a first with the encouragement and support of the organized industrial zone where we located.

Our contribution to education is not limited to these, also we regularly provide our student scholarships ranging from primary school to university. In the 2019-2020 school year, we give scholarships to 3 male and 3 female students. We are trying to finish Ferco Primary School on a land allocated to Ferco by the Ministry of National Education in Ağrı, Doğu Beyazıt, Ortadirek Village that is 600m2 and involves 5 classroom and make it ready in 2020 - 21 academic year.

Our employees are our most valuable assets

Mutual respect, trusting cooperation and open communication; these values are important elements that shape our Ferco corporate culture. Other important factors include topics such as occupational safety, health, equal opportunities and work-life balance. When we interiorize these values and start living accordingly, we can achieve sustainable success. Our employees' feelings of belonging with this understanding have always been very high, as Ferco to preserve and enhance this is our unblinking desire.

Safe work and health

As Ferco, we are trying to take precautions at every point with the understanding that "even an accident is more". We have regular tests and calibrations to ensure that the equipment we use is in the world norms and remains at least in the first day's standard, and we are also certifying them by international independent accredited institutions. By observing ergonomic findings and standards, while ensuring the health and performance of our employees on the other hand, we develop productivity processes to create high efficiency conditions. We work to promote the health of employees effectively, informing them of personal health and care practices and avoiding and reducing risk factors at work. In addition to our A-class occupational safety specialist employees working on regular improvements, getting permanent service with an independent occupational safety company, emphasizes the care we give to the subject.
In addition to regular health screenings, Ferco secures employees with private health insurances and personal accident insurances.

In the business life, Ferco pays attention to balance in the business environment with the understanding of equal opportunity today as in all past life culture. Approximately 35% of Ferco employees is composed of female employees and that is above the overall average in Turkey. (Female employee employment rate is 29.3% according to 2017 data TUIK)
We take care of our disabled friends to remain in this common culture.
Another added value for Ferco in our employee diversity is intergenerational cooperation. We see that our employees from different generations' sharing their experiences in the fields of expertise, life and culture with each other is very important.

It is important for us to maintain and improve the minimum living standards of our employees. We believe that being corresponding at home and at work, stress-free environments increase the quality of life parallel to work efficiency.
